Alexander James Moody has been playing piano for over 25 years. He started private lessons at the age of four, and continued throughout college. Some of his instructors include masters such as Art Wheeler and Anna Kijanowska.

Alex Moody was classically trained, learning how to read and compose sheet music. He was performing recitals by the age of 9, oftentimes as the finale. While in jazz band, he received “Best Soloist” award for his work in “Oye Como Va”. After college, Alex Moody continued his musical journey, playing in reggae, heavy metal, progressive, and cover bands. Alex Moody has received “Best Original Soundtrack” for his work in “Mingle the Movie”, directed by Ty Cooper. He also audio engineered Cooper’s film “Amanda”. Alex Moody is the keyboardist for the North Carolina based deathcore band, “Solomon Grundy”, who are on hiatus. Alex Moody currently helms the artist name:
